My verdict
I use this cream regularly, but on days when my skin feels unsettled, it’s the one I trust most.
I’ve used AESTURA ATOBARRIER365 Cream for about two months. I use it regularly, usually alternating it with my Torriden DIVE-IN Soothing Cream because I like both and don’t need to layer two creams at once. But when my dry, somewhat sensitive skin feels unsettled or I notice a new bump, AESTURA is the one I reach for.
That’s why it has become one of my personal K-beauty favorites.
How it feels on my skin
I use roughly a pinky-nail-sized amount and spread it in a thin layer over my face. It has a little richness to it, but it doesn’t feel thick or heavy to me. I can feel tiny capsules as I apply it; they soften as I smooth the cream over my skin. Afterward, my face feels moisturized, almost as though it has a light protective layer over it.
That bit of richness seems to help the comfortable, hydrated feeling last longer on my skin. I don’t need to apply much to get the finish I want.
Why I trust it on sensitive-feeling days
More than once, I’ve noticed a bump before work, applied this cream, and found that my skin looked much calmer when I got home. After using it again that night, the bump was gone by the next morning. I can’t know for certain that the cream alone caused the change, but having a cream I feel comfortable reaching for on those days means a lot to me.
My mom also tried it when she had a rash. Her skin settled over the next few days while she was using it. I don’t know what caused her rash or whether the cream was responsible for the improvement, but that experience added to my confidence in how comfortable this formula feels for us.
AESTURA or Torriden?
I enjoy using both, and I alternate between them rather than applying both creams together. I could happily use AESTURA every day; I simply have another cream I like, too. When my skin feels especially sensitive or a bump appears, I’m more likely to choose AESTURA.
Based on my experience, it’s a cream I’d especially consider if you have dry, sensitive-feeling skin, though no product will suit everyone.
My main hesitation is the price in the U.S. A small amount goes a long way for me, which makes it easier to justify, but it still costs more than I’d like. I’ve also found that makeup can pill if I apply it before the cream has fully settled, so I give it time to absorb first.
