K-Beauty Truth publishes personal skincare notes. The standard is simple: do not invent use, and do not dress a personal reaction up as a universal fact.

Used versus researched

A review is a used-product note only when Kay bought the product and used it. If a page includes background that did not come from her own use, that will be written as research or as a brand claim, not as something her skin did.

How products arrive

Direct purchases are the default. If a brand sends a product, that will be disclosed on the page. Affiliate links, when they exist, are disclosed on the page and in theaffiliate disclosure.

Personal experience versus brand language

Ingredient lists, official names, and marketing copy belong to the brand. Kay’s notes belong to her face. Those two things are not treated as the same kind of evidence.

Updates and corrections

If a routine changes, a product is finished, or a factual error is found, the page should be updated. Dates are added only when they are known. Missing timeframes stay missing.

Skin is not a sample size of one

A breakout, a repurchase, or a calm week is what happened to Kay. Another person can have the opposite result with the same bottle.
